DR. Anna Sanford (1944 - 2013) began her educational career in the Aurora East schools in 1966 where she started as teacher then principal, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction and administrative assistant for research and development, retiring in 2001.

She received the Kane County Administrator of the Year award in 1982 and the Charlotte Danstrom Woman of Achievement award in 1989. Most recently she served on the board of Family Focus Aurora and volunteered with the Child Welfare Society and the New England Congregational Church.

Fernando Sanford (1854 - 1948) was an American physicist and university professor. He was one of the 22 "pioneer professors" (founding faculty) for Stanford University.

Ty Aiden Sanford (2009 - 2015)

A fan of several Superheroes, especially Spiderman. He also enjoyed Sponge Bob and Minions. His favorite friends were the Toy Story characters, Buzz and Woody. Ty recently headed up a convoy of semi-trucks, leading the procession in a Wal-Mart Truck.
